universal epic universe

Step through the gates and explore five immersive worlds of thrills and excitement at one amazing theme park at Universal Epic Universe.

The hub of the park is Celestial Park. Based on astrology it features a garden with walkways, fountains, ponds and is the centerpiece of the park. This area features 2 rides: the Constellation Carousel suitable for all ages and Stardust Racers, a dual tracked rollercoaster that will blast off at a high acceleration reaching a top speed of 62mph and is not for the faint of heart. You will also find Universal’s Helios Grand Hotel (which boasts a special entrance directly into the park), an under-water themed restaurant and the perfect spot to catch the nightly fireworks and light shows.

Heading into the first immersive area is Super Nintendo World. You’ll enter through a warp pipe that appears in many of the Mario video game franchises. This land is divided into 2 sections: Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong Country. On Bowser’s Challenge, take on family and friends in this virtual reality racing simulator – it’s just like being inside the Mario Kart series! Another fun ride is Mine Cart Madness in Donkey Kong Country. Known as a “boom coaster” you’ll board your mine cart and “hop” and “skip” the track to make you feel like you are flying through the air as you jump from track to track. You will also find themed dining options like the Toadstool Café and Yoshi’s Snack Land. A “Power-Up Band” for sale allows you to explore the area and collect digital coins just like in the video game.

Next, we venture over to Dark Universe home to the Universal Classic Monsters and set in the dreary Darkmoor Village. Be on the lookout for Count Dracula, Frankenstein and the Wolfman as they haunt and terrorize the village. This land features 2 rides: Curse of the Werewolf which is a spinning rollercoaster and Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment which is a dark ride that will take you on a thrilling journey through the catacombs beneath Frankenstein Manor. Be sure to grab a bite at Das Steakhouse, a vampire themed restaurant that features no garlic!

Continuing to our next land which happens to be the largest of the 4 lands is How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk. This innovative land features 3 rides: Hiccup’s Wing Gliders, a family launched roller coaster which allows you to soar through the air, Dragon Racer’s Rally that simulates a flying dragon and allows you to control the wings of the vehicle and Fyre Drill, an interactive boat ride complete with water cannons to use against other boats!

Our last stop is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic. This themed area is set in Paris during the 1920s, primarily drawing inspiration from the Fantastic Beasts prequel film series with scenes, characters, and creatures from the film franchise. The area’s main attraction, Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, is an elevator-themed dark ride that features a simulation of Floo Network fireplaces transporting guests further forward in time to the British Ministry of Magic in 1990s London, as depicted in the Harry Potter film series. The stage show attraction, Le Cirque Arcanus, is a full-scale theatre experience located in Place Cachée and features live performers, puppetry, and special effects. There are also a variety of shops, dining, and other experiences to match the wizarding theme and don’t forget to pick up an interactive wand to practice your spells.

A day at Epic is truly like no other. The entrance to the park reads “Beyond this gate find gardens green and epic worlds to fill your dreams.” As the first major theme park to be built by Universal in over 20 years, Universal Epic Universe in one of a kind. This stand-alone park can be done in one day or can be combined with a multiday ticket which includes visits to Universal Orlando and Islands of Adventure. “I couldn’t have asked for a better trip. I was nervous about traveling as a chaperone with 30+ high schoolers, as I have been on badly organized trips, but this was amazing! Enough information was handed out before hand and, as unexpected things came up (Covid-19 national crisis) . . . . Thanks for a great trip!”

“I wouldn’t recommend any other company to plan our trips. They are well organized and always have my student’s best interest in mind. The trips I have taken with them (Hawaii, California and Florida) have always run smoothly. I can’t recommend them enough.”
