¡Bienvenidos! Looking for an international destination without needing a passport? Puerto Rico is the perfect destination for your students to experience the different cultures, customs, eco-system and history.

Students can travel back in time by strolling along the cobblestone streets of Old San Juan. This Capital City is the second oldest city in America. Explore the Castillo San Cristobal which is the largest fort built by the Spanish to guard the city from its enemies. From there you can walk to Old San Juan Bay to see the cruise ships and on most days, you can find the outdoor craft market for trinkets and treasures. History lovers will love to see La Princesa which was once home to the San Juan Jail.

Student groups can take a step back in time when taking a guided tour of Old San Juan. Stroll through the cobblestone streets while viewing Spanish colonial architecture, forts, churches, and local museums. A tour in Puerto Rico can bring the classroom to life with hands-on experiences and excursions.

In addition to history, students can also learn about Puerto Rico’s lush eco-system on eco-excursions to the El Yunque Rain Forest or a visit to the Bioluminescent Lagoon. Go underground into Puerto Rico’s extensive network of caves for a truly off-the-beaten-path eco-adventure. From Río Camuy Cave Park to the Natural Reserve of Cabachuelas, you can learn all about the geological formation of the Island, see historical artifacts that belonged to the early Taíno tribes, and take spectacular pictures from the depths beneath Puerto Rico’s Central Mountains.

Performing groups will love to showcase their talents on this beautiful island. The Puerto Rican Symphony Orchestra (OSPR) has created the Symphonic Experience, which provides young musicians with the unique opportunity to participate in a workshop with orchestra musicians and perform in concert with the OSPR. The Conservatory of Music in Puerto Rico has become a musical landmark in the Caribbean, providing advanced academic studies in various music areas to local students as well as to international visitors. They offer guided tours along with many programs including customized workshops, a recording studio experience as well as an exchange program with other local student music groups.

Are you a food lover? Nestled in the town of Hatillo (which is known for having more cows than people) indulge in an extraordinary experience learning the art of cheese and yogurt-making at Vaca Negra, one of the Island’s most innovative agritourism centers. The vibrancy of Puerto Rican culture comes alive in its dishes, a celebration of flavors that visitors can indulge in. Some of the favorites are mofongo (mashed plantains), tostones (fried plantains) and arroz con gandules (rice with pigeon peas) Must try desserts are the coconut pudding, flan and the sweet puff pastries called Pastelitos!

From bioluminescent bays, pristine Caribbean beaches and lush forests to historic streetscapes, a vibrant local food scene and fascinating cultural attractions, Puerto Rico is a unique and exciting destination all without needing a passport. A visit to Puerto Rico can leave a lasting impression on your students letting them experience the island’s rich history, natural beauty, and warm hospitality.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better trip. I was nervous about traveling as a chaperone with 30+ high schoolers, as I have been on badly organized trips, but this was amazing! Enough information was handed out before hand and, as unexpected things came up (Covid-19 national crisis) . . . . Thanks for a great trip!”

“I wouldn’t recommend any other company to plan our trips. They are well organized and always have my student’s best interest in mind. The trips I have taken with them (Hawaii, California and Florida) have always run smoothly. I can’t recommend them enough.”
